A little bit about Helena ...
Award-winning Canadian actress Helena Marie first discovered the stage, while at ballet school, at the ripe young age of 3. Then came singing in her church, school, and regional choirs. But it wasn’t until her final year of high school that Helena stepped on stage for the first time as an actor. From this moment forward her fate was sealed. She won the drama award upon graduation and went on to study professional theatre at Dawson College in Montreal, Canada.
In 2017 Helena was nominated for the ACTRA Montreal Award for Outstanding Female Performance for her gunslinging, bounty-hunting supporting role opposite legends Kim Coates and Judd Nelson in the film, "Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story", which also garnered her notice in The Hollywood Reporter.
Helena can also be recognized for her appearance on USA Network's "Suits", Freeform's "The Bold Type", CW’s hit series, “Supernatural”, Lifetime’s “A Wife’s Suspicion”, and Incendo’s MOW, “First Response”. Other credits include: The Muse mini-series, “Exploding Sun” produced for SPACE, IFC’s series, “Bullet in the Face”, “A Late Thaw” and “Crazy Love” which won several awards across Canada and the U.S. including a Best Performance Award for Helena at the VISFF for her portrayal of a woman suffering at the hands of her abusive boyfriend.
In addition to her work on-camera, Helena has lent her voice to numerous productions, and most recently performed Facial Motion Capture with Ubisoft Entertainment on a Confidential Project. During Christmas 2018 Helena played the supportive best friend to Grey's Anatomy darling Jerrika Hinton in Hallmark's "A Majestic Christmas".
Helena will soon be seen in the made-for-tv movies Flawless and The Matchmaker Mysteries (Oct 2019).
